Alpena won the region followed by Saginaw Heritage and Traverse City Central. Tyler pulled away from his nearest competitors in the final mile of the race on his way to the regional title with a lifetime personal best of 16:42.65. Seniors Jacob Maschino and Nate Streitmatter also set new lifetime personal bests as they finished in 17th (16:48.74) and 30th (17:14.85) respectively. Matt Crowley was the fourth-fastest Midland runner setting a new lifetime personal best of 17:23.07 to finish in 36th place. Senior Connor Lynch was the final scorer for the Chemics with his 64th place finish (18:04.62). Zoren Berlanga and Kevin Hoefer rounded out the seven varsity runners for the Chemics.

The remaining members of the boys cross-country team competed later that day in the post-regional meet which was also held at Delta College.
