Chemic Wrestlers had an outstanding day at the MHSAA District Tournament today. 5 Chemics will be moving on after placing top 4. Moving on are Connor Schelb (103 3rd place), Alex Noey (112 4th place), Hunter Carey-Spears (130 4th place), Daniel Revord (135 4th place), and Sam Hine (189, 2nd Place). Alex Noey and Daniel Revord came into the tournament as 7 seeds and defeated both the 3 and the 4 seeds to make it out. Missing Regionals by one match was John Hine (160) but John defeated an opponent who had previously beaten him twice this season. Countless overtime matches were won, many wrestlers overcame adversity in matches, and several wrestlers pulled great upsets including Lorenzo Perez (135) taking out the 5 seed in the first round in overtime.

The Chemics will be back on the mats Monday to wrestle the previously postponed Team District at Bay City Central.
