Chemic Girls Open with win over St. Johns

The Varsity Girls Basketball team started out the season with an exciting win over St. Johns last night 66-63.  Leading the Chemics were Jessica Walter with 30 points, Hannah Lasky with 17 points and Lily Hami with 11 points.  Jessica broke two records last night: one for most points scored in a single game 30pts

Senior, Miles Kilbreath represented Midland High at the State Cross Country Meet Saturday finishing with a strong time of 16:19, Congratulations Miles.

Football wins District – Hosts Muskegon Saturday 1:00

The Chemic Football team defeated visiting Traverse City Central by a score of 28-16 on a cold night at Midland Stadium.  The Chemics took a lead of 21-7 into halftime on touchdowns by Cameron Short (95 yd pass reception), Alec Johnson (2 yd run), and Ryan Singer (48 yd pass reception). Chemic Volleyball Wins District

The Chemic Volleyball team defeated Dow three games to one in the district championship held at Bay City Central this afternoon. Score of the games were, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23.  The tight contest featured some terrific rallies, diving saves, and hustle.  The team was led by Tori Blake who tallied 24 kills, while Taylor Robertson

Volleyball advances to District Championship

The volleyball team defeated Bay City Western last night in the district semi-final three games to none.  Taylor Robertson had 14 kills while Tori Blake added 11.  Marissa Kraut and Taylor Jensen also had 6 and 5 kills apiece. Sarah Warren kept 11 attacks off the floor and Mallory Rejewski set up 33 put aways.
