Many people have their first sports experiences rooted in sibling rivalry. Years spent growing up battling in backyards, driveways, and makeshift arenas in family living rooms. For most that is as far as sporting contest with brothers and sisters go. However for some they get the chance to play competitive, organized sports with a sibling.

92 pounds of Chemic Pride

Midland Civic Arena has seen many goals from the sticks of Chemics hockey players. This season however, there is a different type of goal being achieved within the walls of the arena. Tyler Squires is a ninth grader who at 5 feet tall and 92 pounds may not stand out as a prototypical hockey player.

9th grade Football workouts begin

Any 8th grader that wishes to play football at MHS next year.  The 9th grade coaches will be running an after school strength, speed, and agility program on M-W-F from 3:20-4:15 PM at Midland High.  These workouts will begin on Monday January 27th.
