Girls Varsity Competitive Cheer · Sloane is Teammate of the Week

Teamwork is a hallmark of Chemic Pride.  Legendary football coach, Vince Lombardi wrote, “Individual commitment to a group effort—that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” Chemic Hall of Fame football and baseball coach Terry Wilczek often praised his teams for their ability to make 2 + 2 = 5.  In that spirit, Midland High School Athletics and Firehouse Subs on Eastman Ave in Midland are proud to recognize a teammate of the week who epitomizes selflessness and demonstrates a commitment to the success of his/her team.

This week’s honoree is a member of the competitive cheer team, Junior, Breann Sloane.

Coach Ben Fuller nominated her by writing, “Breann went above and beyond for her team this week, learning multiple parts in rounds 1 and 2, teaching underclass men, and being a great example of Chemic Pride and a good teammate! She has worked really hard not only on her own skills and ability but goes out of her way to help others succeed!”

Breann is the daughter of Chariti Hayes and Gary Sloane.
