2019 Chemic Wrestling Seniors
Samuel Hine is the son of Angela and Blake Hine. Sam began wrestling in the 5th grade, this is his 8th year. He most enjoys the friendships he makes on the wrestling team. Sam is involved in the National Honor Society and The Midland Football Team where he received State wide dream team recognition from multiple outlets. Sam is an avid outdoorsmen and hunting is a year-round sport for him. Sam plans to continue his education after high school and is considering offers to play football and/or wrestle for local D3 colleges in the Michigan area.
Hunter Carey-Spears is the son of Rachel and Nick Spears. Hunter began the sport of wrestling his Freshman year and enjoys the personal accomplishment he feels after his hard work pays off when he wins a match. Hunter’s most memorable accomplishment is when he won districts his Junior year. Hunter is involved in track and enjoys reading, the team always finds his nose buried in books, but video games are another favorite! Hunter will be attending Northwood University and majoring in International Business and Marketing. Hunter tells the younger wrestling, never give up, period.
Theophilus Rammidi is the son of Joan and stepdad Andy Bukowski. Theo is in the National Guard. He ships out July 17th and is a computer specialist in unit 25 bravo. He has been accepted into CMU to study business administration and political science in the ROTC officer program. Theo’s favorite memory of wrestling is the day Coach Revord approached him and convinced him to give wrestling a try so he did the very next day. Theo tells the wrestlers that fail, “F”, “A”, “I”, “L”, means first attempt in learning. And end, “E”, “N”, “D” means effort never dies. And no, “N”, “O” is just slang for next opportunity.
Nick Norris is the son of Katherine Spaulding. Nick is a 3 year varsity wrestler who also participates in sideline cheer during the fall season and pole vaults for the MHS track team in the spring. His best wrestling memory is winning the deciding match against Dow to win districts last year. Nick is also a boy scout and a member of the civil air patrol. He plans to join the United States Air Force after high school.
