Meet Recap

The Midland Chemics boys’ cross-country team had many solid performances on their way to earning a 3rd-place finish out of 13 teams in the large-school division at Saturday’s Heritage Invitational held at Imerman Park in Saginaw. The Chemics varsity team had 126 points to finish behind meet champion Saginaw Heritage (46 pts) and second-place Alpena (64 pts.). Leading the way for the Chemics was Tyler Pritchett with a 16th-place finish (17:23.22). Kenny Steinhilber (17th), Jacob Mutscher (19th), Jacob Maschino (38th), and Nate Streitmatter (41st) rounded out the point scorers for the Chemics. Midland’s JV team finished in 2nd place and were led by Sam Yoder in 4th place (19:05.23). Also scoring for the JV squad were Alex Noey (9th), Seth Taylor (20th), Henry Kessler (21st), and Kevin Hoefer (23rd). Congratulations to JV runners Brady Wing and Will Talcott for achieving new season-best times in their race! The Chemics will face their next competition at the 1st Annual Freeland Invitational held on Saturday, October 14th at Stratford Woods in Midland. The boys are scheduled to run at 9:40 AM for varsity and 10:20 AM for junior varsity.
