Three Pitchers Team Up As Midland Shuts Out Carman-Ainsworth

Midland (23-4, 13-3) defeated Carman-Ainsworth 12-0 on Thursday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Midland grabbed an early lead. Midland scored on a wild pitch in the first inning, a single by Jordan Patty in the second inning, and a stolen base in the second inning.
Midland took an early lead in the first inning.

Midland scored four runs in the seventh inning. Midland’s big inning was driven by a single by Jerry Bringard.

One bright spot for Carman-Ainsworth was an infield single by Durbin in the third inning.

Garrett Willis (7-0) earned the win for Midland. He tossed four innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and striking out four. Two relievers helped Midland close out the victory. Chance Freed threw two innings. Hogan took the loss for Carman-Ainsworth. He threw four innings, giving up six runs, seven hits, and striking out one.

Midland had 12 hits in the game. Bringard and Patty each collected multiple hits for Midland.
