Accomplishments: Diving, Academic Honor Roll, 4 time Gymnastics State title holder

Favorite Event: 1 meter springboard diving

Future Plans:  Attend Grand Valley State or Northern Michigan to become a nurse anesthetist.

Favorite Event: When Eric & I continually tried to synchronize dive.  It clearly won’t happen.

Advice to Underclassmen:  Don’t be afraid to try something new, even if you think it’s too late.

Special Thanks:  I would like to thank Coach Jill for teaching me everything I now know about diving; my parents for supporting my decision to switch sports during my senior year.

Advice to Underclassmen:  Keep trying your hardest.  Beat DHS

Special Thanks:  I would like to thank my host families for making me a part of their families and supporting me.  My teammates and their parents for graciously helping me get to practices.

Favorite Event: 200 IM (because I’m not in it)

Advice to Underclassmen:  If you can’t swim fast, there’s always diving.  “Oh…wait”.

Special Thanks:  Coach Welter, Nick Berchert, and my older sister for introducing me to the sport.

Parents: Matthew & Andrea Berchert

Accomplishments: Swimming, Cross Country, Golf, Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout, Academic Honor Roll, Member of National Honor Society.

Favorite Event: 100 Freestyle

Future Plans: Ferris State University to study Welding Engineering

Favorite Memory: Pulling RavDeep out of the water after a race because he swam so hard.  That inspired me to be the best I could be.

Advice to Underclassmen: Everyone needs to give 110% in practice.  The effort you put in for 2 hrs. will show results at meets.

Special Thanks:  I would like to thank Coach Welter for pushing me for the past 4 years, my parents for putting up with my crazy swim schedule, and my mom for devoting so much time and energy to the team.
