Meet Recap

The Chemic ladies’ cross-country team had an excellent showing at the 2nd Saginaw Valley League Jamboree at Imerman Park in Saginaw. The ladies improved on their 6th-place finish at the first jamboree by coming in 5th place. The Chemics were lead by Maddie Isola in 15th place with a new lifetime personal best of 20:41.98. Other scorers for the ladies included Riley Legge in 20th, Emma Rudisel in 26th (lifetime personal best of 21:19.24), Emily Yoder in 29th, and Danbi Johnson in 35th. Ella Trosin (22:34.75) and Alyssa Chritz (24:48.10) also had lifetime personal bests in the varsity race. Ellie Wardell was the JV race champion with a time of 22:24.32. Others scoring in the JV race were Maddy Wittbrodt in 14th, Maiah Jezak in 28th, Elizabeth Bott in 33rd (new lifetime personal best of 25:17.12), and Morgan Hallberg in 34th. The Chemics will race again this coming Saturday, Sept. 27th, and the DeWitt Invitational. Start time for their race is 9:30 AM.
