Meet Recap

The Midland Chemics boys’ varsity cross-country team had a solid showing at the 2nd Saginaw Valley League Jamboree with 123 points in a 4th-place finish. Tyler Pritchett once again led the Chemics with a 14th-place finish (17:25.00). Others scoring for the Chemics were Kenny Steinhilber in 23rd, Jacob Mutshcer in 25th, Jacob Maschino in 30th (with a new lifetime personal best of 18:06.33), and Drew Spencer in 34th (with a new lifetime personal best of 18:12.49). Connor Lynch (18:15.33) and Seth Taylor (19:47.21) also posted new lifetime personal bests in the varsity race. The JV boys also finished in 4th place for their race with 102 points. Alex Noey led the way with a 6th-place finish (lifetime personal best of 19:12.97). Other JV scorers were Sam Yoder in 10th (lifetime personal best of 19:16.38), Kevin Hoefer in 32nd, Aaron Abbott in 33rd, and Marc Dean in 47th (lifetime personal best of 20:53.45). The Chemics will race again this coming Saturday, Sept. 30th, at the DeWitt Invitational. The boys’ race time will be 10:15 AM.
