MHS CROSS COUNTRY 2015
TO: All students who are considering joining the MHS Cross Country Team

Cross country is a sport where everyone can experience success. Each runner works to be their personal best while sharing the running experience with a group of motivated, supportive and spirited teammates. We welcome you to the team.
Join in these optional workouts starting July 8th
Mondays, Wednesday, & Friday 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Strength Training sessions on Monday and Wednesday, meeting at MHS weight room. Friday is plyos and core and we meet at MHS track weather dependent.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM AND OR 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Team runs lead by your team captains. Meet at City Forest, north parking lot off Monroe.
I also encourage you to be putting in some miles on your own, especially if you plan to attend the Cross Country Camp on August 3 – 7 in Traverse City. I recommend a minimum of 20 to 25 miles per week of running. Details about the camp will be distributed later this summer. Note: you will need a physical and the cost is now $40 per athlete. You do need to know that the camp is a blast and you will want to be part of it. I would like to hear about your workouts this summer. Please let me know how you are doing, share your accomplishments, your pace, your mileage and of course you may share your aches and pains as well.

Your entire family is welcome to join us at City Forest for our optional summer workouts. Your parents can come to walk or run or even bring the dog for some exercise in the woods.
