Soccer wins SVL Tournament

This weekend the Chemic varsity soccer team went 3-0 to win the first ever Saginaw Valley League Tournament.  In the first game your Chemics beat Flushing 1-0 with a goal from Dylan Matthews, assisted by Jake Rajewski.  In the semi-final game the Chemics beat Bay City Western 2-0.  Dylan Matthews scored both goals and Jake Rajewski added another assist.  Finally in the championship game, Midland had a re-match with Dow High to decide the Valley championship.  The Chemics pulled out a victory with a score of 2-1.  Scoring for your Chemics were Jake Rajewski and Chas Wakeman with the winning goal.  Dylan Matthews had both assists in the game.  The Chemics won the Valley for the second year in a row and their next game will be at Grand Blanc on Saturday.
